Tanya Doody Studio is a site to share my material practice and research. My ongoing dedication to sustainable practices in ceramics has led to researching early clay processes, low-fire techniques, and sourcing local materials in environmentally and socially responsible ways.

Clay is the medium through which I connect to the Earth. Grounding my practice in this material is fulfilling, powerful, and humbling. I engage with clay across all dimensions of my work—the performative, functional, sculptural, and spiritual. Its tactile nature creates a dialogue: a continual exchange from gesture to material and from material back to the sensation of touch. I value the immediacy of its feedback and the reciprocity that emerges in this process.
